Vodka Bottle Made in Berkley, MI

Party Cakes, Inc. created a larger-than-life sized bottle of Vodka with glasses and olives to showcase their talents at the Second Annual Vodka Vodka event sponsored by Metro Times at the Royal Oak Farmer’s Market on January 28, 2011.  The free tastings featured Chocolate cake truffles infused with Raspberry vodka and Vanilla cake truffles infused with Vanilla vodka.  Proceeds from the invitation-only party benefitted Forgotten Harvest.

Michigan Bakery Creates 3-D Cakes

Some customers want to create a cake for themselves. Others, it’s for their kids. But this customer created this cake for his dad! Thank you Paul for being such a great customer and allowing us to create your dad’s car in cake form. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to the next celebration. Can’t wait to see what you have in mind next!

Happy Birthday Dad

It's Dad's Car in cake form!

Stacked four layers high and constructed like a wedding cake with dowels and support boards, this popcorn box will serve 30-40 hungry children easily. Yes, that’s real popcorn overflowing from the top! Party Cakes likes to use real food items whenever possible.

This cake can stand on it’s own–literally! The wheels are oreos covered with fondant icing but everything else is sculpted butter cream. You CAN eat every bit of this car!

Forgotten Harvest “Harvey” meets Party Cakes

In May, 2010, Party Cakes was asked to create a very special display cake for Forgotten Harvest, a Michigan charity specializing in distribution of free food throughout the Detroit area. The event was a birthday party for Forgotten Harvest. “Harvey” was their first delivery vehicle and the working photo is a cartoon-type van with eyes for headlights and the grill work is his smile. With such a great image to work with, it was a labor of love to create Harvey. Using four quarter sheet cakes, Harvey was carved down to the van’s shape. His wheels were Oreo cookies covered with black fondant. All the detail work was done with fondant icing including covering the board with “grass”, the road and the flowers along the way. Harvey could feed 100 people but they never cut into him at the party. Nobody wanted to because he was just too cute!
