The event was a birthday party for Forgotten Harvest. “Harvey” was their first delivery vehicle and the working photo is a cartoon-type van with eyes for headlights and the grill work is his smile. With such a great image to work with, it was a labor of love to create Harvey. Using four quarter sheet cakes, Harvey was carved down to the van’s shape. His wheels were Oreo cookies covered with black fondant. All the detail work was done with fondant icing including covering the board with “grass”, the road and the flowers along the way. Harvey could feed 100 people but they never cut into him at the party. Nobody wanted to because he was just too cute!
